About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute the engineering portion of OTR contracts that contain Balance of Plant (BOP) scope
  • Own the project control activity globally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for projects implementation
  • Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Engineering, Sourcing, Engineering sub-contractors
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to Project Management and GE’s internal engineering teams
  • Review Customer specifications and communicate contract and project requirements to all design functions
  • Evaluate financial/schedule impact of Customer requested scope changes
  • Enforce quality procedures and participate in their improvement
  • Manage a cross functional Engineering team to master the risks and opportunities of the Contract.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or any other related STEM program from an accredited university or college
  • A min of 6 years of experience or more of related industry experience with increasing responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Willingness/ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Motivated and able to motivate others
  • Has a continuous improvement mind set
  • Demonstrates customer interface experience
  • Technical superior training with experience in project/team management preferred, in the field of energy or in the management of transverse teams
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Mechanical & electrical codes and compliance
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Turbo machinery, generator, electrical, controls and/or Power Plant Accessory systems and equipment
  • Expertise in one of the disciplines (Mechanical/ Electrical / Process)
