About the role
- Join GE Vernova in shaping MRO category strategy across North America.
- Lead sourcing strategy across a broad portfolio of MRO categories.
- Build strong supplier and stakeholder partnerships.
- Help drive meaningful business results.
- Lead regional category strategy, supplier management, master service agreements, and supplier performance initiatives.
- Partner closely with global category teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Play a key role in advancing strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Align regional execution with global priorities and deliver total cost efficiency (TCE) without compromising service, quality, or operational support.
- Develop and execute strategies within the assigned category spend.
- Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels.
- Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
- Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
- Include commercial sourcing management such as data analysis and negotiations support.
- Developing specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field.
- Serves as best practice/quality resource.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management
- 10+ years of experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience within the MRO Commodity category spend group
- Demonstrated ability in leading organizational, process, and culture change
- MBA in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management (Desired)
- Strong experience within the assigned category spend group
- Collaborative mindset in working across functional areas
- Strong experience in Procurement processes
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Sourcing or Analytics experience in a multinational company
