About the role

  • Lead the engineering scope of work, including planning schedules, budgets, and monitoring activities
  • Provide technical leadership and serve as the primary interface with stakeholders
  • Ensure all design activities comply with applicable codes and standards
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design or oversee the design of substations
  • Establish and implement effective reporting processes to track engineering progress
  • Manage technical risk by defining design strategies, reviews, and safety reviews
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to less experienced engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HVDC systems, FACTS, industrial, renewable, or utility HV/EHV substation design
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in the United States, with the ability and willingness to review and seal drawings
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%, including international travel, in compliance with applicable company travel and tax policies
