About the role

  • Serve as the technical lead for the business throughout the entire Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) phase.
  • Provide technical expertise and develop technical solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economics, etc.) during the pre-ITO (requisition) process while collaborating with the commercial team.
  • Deliver high technical quality for GE’s proposals, including processes and programs that improve proposal acceptance (compliant or clarified), effectiveness, and cost competitiveness for the customer, while reducing overall performance risk.
  • Responsible for technical proposal accuracy, including technical specifications and clarifications/assumptions/exceptions; quantifying design and deliverables; defining installation work scope; cost allocation; bill of materials; and estimating engineering, installation, and testing/commissioning based on customer specifications and/or industry standards (IEEE, NESC, ANSI, NEMA, IEC, etc.), sourcing, and historical data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design, studies, specifications, estimating, and construction for substation, transmission, or power generation projects within the power generation/distribution/transmission industry.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in technical proposal writing and proposal management.
  • Up to 20% travel (may include international travel) and must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies.
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written. (The position requires communication with international colleagues, suppliers, and customers; bilingualism in French and English is mandatory.)
