About the role

  • ownership and accountability for I&C analog and digital electronics including field programmable gate array (FPGA) designs
  • driving GVH’s Safety Quality Delivery Cost (SQDC) standards
  • Environmental Health and Safety activities/requirements related to the team
  • team CAP activities and implement corrective and preventive actions from quality non-compliance monitoring
  • accountability for team Key Performance Indicator (KPI) forecast accuracy
  • bid management activities ensuring engineering deliverables are well defined
  • delivering products and services on-time and on-budget
  • team resource planning and project/program assignments
  • work collaboratively across the engineering matrix and with business leaders in Product Development, Project Delivery, Sourcing and Quality
  • accountability for individual development and knowledge management activities
  • streamline, integrate and develop team technical and management processes
  • act as a technical liaise with customers, partner organizations and suppliers
  • Partner with business teams and presents product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leads

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (Electrical/Computer Programming or similar)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a technology or engineering role
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic hardware design and signal analysis (Altium, PSpice)
  • Knowledge and experience with common HDL languages (SystemVerilog) and FPGA development tools (Quartus, GitLab, etc.)
  • Operating at a senior level within the organization
  • Excellent writing and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated people management and motivation skills
  • Master’s degree or PhD in an engineering or technical discipline (preferred)
  • Experience managing highly technical and diverse Engineering teams and functions
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Knowledge of working within a regulated environment (nuclear)
  • Knowledge of quality standards and systems (e.g., NQA-1 and ISO 9000)
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Prior experience in project delivery and working within a matrix environment
  • Strong customer mindset
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and cope under pressure
  • Six Sigma training is preferred
