About the role
- ownership and accountability for I&C analog and digital electronics including field programmable gate array (FPGA) designs
- driving GVH’s Safety Quality Delivery Cost (SQDC) standards
- Environmental Health and Safety activities/requirements related to the team
- team CAP activities and implement corrective and preventive actions from quality non-compliance monitoring
- accountability for team Key Performance Indicator (KPI) forecast accuracy
- bid management activities ensuring engineering deliverables are well defined
- delivering products and services on-time and on-budget
- team resource planning and project/program assignments
- work collaboratively across the engineering matrix and with business leaders in Product Development, Project Delivery, Sourcing and Quality
- accountability for individual development and knowledge management activities
- streamline, integrate and develop team technical and management processes
- act as a technical liaise with customers, partner organizations and suppliers
- Partner with business teams and presents product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leads
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (Electrical/Computer Programming or similar)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a technology or engineering role
- Knowledge and experience with electronic hardware design and signal analysis (Altium, PSpice)
- Knowledge and experience with common HDL languages (SystemVerilog) and FPGA development tools (Quartus, GitLab, etc.)
- Operating at a senior level within the organization
- Excellent writing and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated people management and motivation skills
- Master’s degree or PhD in an engineering or technical discipline (preferred)
- Experience managing highly technical and diverse Engineering teams and functions
- Strong Leadership skills
- Knowledge of working within a regulated environment (nuclear)
- Knowledge of quality standards and systems (e.g., NQA-1 and ISO 9000)
- Strong organization skills
- Strong problem solving abilities
- Prior experience in project delivery and working within a matrix environment
- Strong customer mindset
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and cope under pressure
- Six Sigma training is preferred
