About the role
- Provide technical support towards the development and execution of BWR plant and fuel related materials deliverables within both GVH and GNF businesses
- Provide technical leadership in the development and execution of BWR material property behavior test programs
- Perform technical evaluations, analyses and verifications in the areas of BWR nuclear plant and fuel material applications
- Perform work in compliance with NRC regulated policies and procedures
- Interface with internal and external customers on technical issues
- Support Company initiatives
- Meet customer commitments and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemistry, Material Science, Nuclear, Mechanical, or similar
- At least 5 years of experience in an engineering capacity
- Experience in specific technology areas: BWR plant and fuel material processing, testing, and in-service performance behavior
- Knowledge or experience with ASTM and ASME Section 3, Section 7, and Section 11
- Experience with BWR and PWR technology (i.e. reactor structural materials, stainless steel, nickel alloys, and zirconium alloys)
- Knowledge of reactor material licensing requirements
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
- This role requires access to US export-controlled information.
