About the role
- Responsible for all supply chain management activities within his/her project for all BOP equipment and spare parts
- Prepares & applies common approach such as defining and applying of the contract requirements within the project
- Coordinates on- and offshore procurement activities including turnkey sub-contracts
- Develops Engineering Procurement Plan (EPP) and project-specific sourcing concept for each assigned project
- Reviews and updates the purchasing strategy and the project specific sourcing concept
- Verifies budget with Project Finance Manager and resolves budget allocation discrepancies
- Executes large commercial transactions through supplier negotiation and competitive bidding
- Understands the commercial part of the EPC contract and issues the project related purchasing conditions
- Ensures that suppliers meet all contractual requirements related to documentation
- Ensures that supplier quality / expediting has established the supplier monitoring-concept
- Controls timely issuance of the purchase orders within budget
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- 7 years experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain or project management
- Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time, as required
- Strong analytical project management and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
