About the role

  • Drive regional commercial activity for the Product+ portfolio, ensuring alignment with order intake and margin targets while monitoring competitor offerings
  • Engage regularly with customers alongside Account Managers to understand needs, shape demand, and refine go‑to‑market channel strategies
  • Define project strategies by assessing complexity, analysing RFQs (Request for Quote), and developing tailored value propositions
  • Lead spec‑in/spec‑out activities, product qualification, and initiation of the tendering process, ensuring continuous follow‑up
  • Build competitive technical‑commercial offers with the tendering team, considering customer needs, product competitiveness, and factory constraints
  • Set and validate pricing through Estimate Analysis Sheets in coordination with Account Managers and PL Commercial
  • Drive internal tender approvals and lead comprehensive risk assessments across commercial, financial, legal, and H&S dimensions
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial offers, manage negotiations, and resolve technical/commercial clarifications with customers
  • Finalize contracts and ensure smooth handover to factory execution teams

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering with strong technical expertise in high‑voltage substation products and solid knowledge of the regional electrical transmission ecosystem (utilities, EPCs, contractors)
  • Extensive experience in commercial, sales, or tendering roles within a multinational environment
  • Professional proficiency in English and German, with willingness to travel
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities, combined with a collaborative team mindset
  • Proven ability to analyse complex issues, resolve problems, and lead programs or projects effectively
  • Skilled in planning, documenting, marketing, and executing programs with a structured, results‑oriented approach
  • Travel time required will be around 20%, mainly within the DACH region
