About the role
- Provide direction, technical leadership, resource management, and coordination for the Transient Analysis team
- Support functional manager to plan, assign, manage, and oversee resources and schedules
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and calculations
- Perform technical verifications of engineering deliverables
- Provide engineering expertise, guidance, and technical mentoring
- Communicate and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers
- Implement continual improvement of safety analysis work processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering
- 8 years commercial nuclear power industry experience
- M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Engineering (desired)
- Prior experience with thermal-hydraulic methods (eg, TRAC, RELAP)
- Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response
- Extensive knowledge of nuclear engineering principles (nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, mechanical design as applied to BWR)
- Experience with engineering work planning and design process techniques
