About the role

  • Provide direction, technical leadership, resource management, and coordination for the Transient Analysis team
  • Support functional manager to plan, assign, manage, and oversee resources and schedules
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and calculations
  • Perform technical verifications of engineering deliverables
  • Provide engineering expertise, guidance, and technical mentoring
  • Communicate and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers
  • Implement continual improvement of safety analysis work processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering
  • 8 years commercial nuclear power industry experience
  • M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Engineering (desired)
  • Prior experience with thermal-hydraulic methods (eg, TRAC, RELAP)
  • Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response
  • Extensive knowledge of nuclear engineering principles (nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, mechanical design as applied to BWR)
  • Experience with engineering work planning and design process techniques
