About the role

  • Perform technical evaluations and provide technical support in areas of source term, decay heat, dose and dispersion analyses, ALARA and other radiological nuclear safety analyses
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate activities with internal and external project managers, technical personnel, and customers on engineering/technical issues
  • Maintain a high standard of quality and safety while meeting baseline project schedule and cost objectives
  • Prepare, document and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Contribute to team process improvements to drive speed and simplification
  • Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC, CNSC, or other regulatory rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in engineering, physics, or closely related science discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in nuclear safety analysis, or closely related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in nuclear radiological analysis
  • M.S. or Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with BWR technology and sodium fast reactor technology
  • Knowledge of plant operational support
  • Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements
  • Experience with ORIGEN, RADTRAD, GALE, MCNP, SCALE, MELCOR, MAAP, MACCS
  • Object-oriented programming experience such as Java, C#, C++
