About the role
- Ensure a schedule is created for each opportunity in accordance with the Workforce Planning and Scheduling procedure
- Maintains status and organization of multiple opportunities/proposals in various stages of the ITO process
- Develop and maintains schedule templates/standard work by leveraging past project execution lessons learned and project change requests
- Create proposal requests for subcontracted work as applicable
- Navigate the commercial risk management process for each opportunity by identifying technical risks and implement risk mitigation plans
- Facilitate proposal kickoff meetings
- Facilitate customer proposal comment resolution sessions
- Collaborate with legal to develop non-disclosure agreements as necessary
- Review purchase order contracts and compare to proposal language to ensure compliance
- Monitors schedules to ensure the Project Planned Start matches the best estimate for when the project work will begin
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness of planning process toward strategic goals, make data-driven decisions, and evaluate the success of individuals, teams, or the entire organization
- Identify areas for improvement, track operational efficiency, and ensure that daily activities contribute to broader objectives, offering insights beyond intuition
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 4 years experience as a project manager
- OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 8 years of experience working on projects
- Proven professional experience in project management, engineering or business
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM preferred
- Proficient with project management software tools (Primavera, MS Project, etc)
- Fundamental-level financial or accounting knowledge
- Experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs
- Knowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc)
- Demonstrated organizational skills, particularly related to project execution
