About the role

  • Manage/Lead global NPIs and ToW projects, products and technology to secure Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Own component introduction/implementation/qualification from design and manufacturability through stable production (industrialization).
  • Serve as an NPI Project Manager in a highly cross-functional environment with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, product management, etc.
  • Improve and standardize the way of working within the team through the application of Lean methodology.
  • Ensure the proper team is engaged in the Iterations from concept through final design with cross functional teams to ensure balance of producibility and cost.
  • Be responsible for on time and on budget delivery of NPIs and strategic projects for both new units and services.
  • Serve as a technical process owner for complex problems across a diverse supply chain partnering with stakeholders to solve business critical issues.
  • Manage and communicate design change risks and impacts prior to implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience).
  • Major engineering/manufacturing/sourcing experience.
  • Welding Engineering Degree or experience with welding and the machining of fabricated Components.
  • Strong Sourcing knowledge and prior experience with Supplier Development and/or transfer of work projects.
  • Knowledge of Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, and Generator Components.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team to deliver programs/projects.
  • Ability to present ideas effectively and concisely, both written and verbal, to team members, senior management and customers.
  • Proven ability to work horizontally across GE and build/maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Cross functional experience – able to motivate team effectively, facilitate collaboration, and influence a solutions-oriented culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to take vague problem, identify action plan, and partner with stakeholders to achieve goals.
  • Strong project management/organizational skills and demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion under tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products.
