About the role

  • Lead and define the strategic execution of service projects, ensuring on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and adherence to budget
  • Maintain customer communication and ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate sales pacing in compliance with revenue recognition rules
  • Conduct project portfolio reviews (approximately 100–200 projects)
  • Support project execution and facilitate collaboration with regional Sales teams
  • Monitor and approve margin deviations
  • Identify, manage and escalate risks and opportunities
  • Oversee cash collection, including overdue accounts and retentions
  • Ensure consistency, alignment and efficiency across all direct departments
  • Reinforce project management competencies (communication, planning, cost assumptions, sales planning, contract management)
  • Maintain continuous communication and delivery alignment across departments, including running workshops
  • Improve contract management with a strong focus on return on equity regarding contract terms and conditions
  • Provide quarterly reporting on sales, margins, cash-in and finished goods
  • Manage order requests and overdue orders in coordination with the Global Supply Chain function
  • Monitor under- and over-recovery of direct hours to ensure salaries, facility costs, vehicles and tools are sufficiently covered via overhead on hourly rates
  • Track and drive quality and customer satisfaction KPIs

Requirements

  • Technical university degree (e.g., production technology, process engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering)
  • 10–15 years of relevant hands-on experience in similar roles
  • 5–7 years of management experience with personnel responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of portfolio management, project management workflows, lean processes and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Product knowledge in our industry and/or high-voltage products is highly valued (e.g., circuit breakers, hybrid switchgear, instrument transformers)
  • Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) processes
  • Ability to understand and interpret key business performance indicators
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken
  • Proven experience collaborating across functions in a matrix organization
  • Confident interpretation of regulations, standards and technical specifications
  • Strong experience with SAP, with focus on Project Management and Engineering modules
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (around 15% annually within the region)
