About the role
- Execute sourcing strategies tailored to commodity categories specific to HRSG module fabrication
- Promote supplier panel development and cost-saving initiatives to achieve deflation targets and improve sourcing KPIs
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, and project teams to address daily sourcing challenges and deliver value through continuous improvement
- Support new product development (NPI) and engineering projects by identifying and qualifying alternative suppliers and fostering supply chain flexibility
- Coordinate closely with global and regional sourcing leaders to ensure timely material availability, quality compliance, and productivity gains across the supply base
- Lead supplier negotiations with a focus on strategic alignment, total cost management, and risk mitigation
- Conduct supplier assessments in line with GE’s sourcing and compliance standards, ensuring sustainability and operational reliability
- Review and evaluate commercial proposals to select optimal vendors based on cost, quality, capacity, and delivery performance
- Develop and lead cost-out strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders, influencing contracts and enabling long-term savings
- Manage procurement-related risks proactively, take ownership of issue resolution, and drive escalation handling where necessary
- Monitor supplier performance using key metrics and lead supplier improvement initiatives to elevate overall sourcing efficiency
- Communicate key sourcing initiatives and performance updates to senior stakeholders, supporting both tactical execution and strategic planning
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain and/or Commercial
- Experienced commodity manager, advanced experience and demonstrated years in Sourcing & Commodity management
- English spoken
- Previous Sourcing experience essential
- Knowledge of purchasing practices, principles, and procedures
- Ability to analyze and present statistical data
- Knowledge of MS Office applications, including some knowledge of intermediate level Excel functionality
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to balance multiple tasks in a challenging, fast paced work environment
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Demonstrated team player with a strong initiative to win
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Demonstrated professional oral / written communication and negotiation skills

- Working knowledge of SAP ERP system
