About the role

  • Perform technical evaluations and provide technical support of nuclear fuel bundle and core design.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate activities with internal and external project managers, technical personnel, and customers on engineering/technical issues
  • Maintain and/or exceed baseline project schedule and cost in delivery of nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables
  • Prepare, document and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Contribute to team process improvements to drive speed and simplification
  • Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in engineering, physics, or closely related science discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in nuclear fuel design and analysis, nuclear safety analysis, or closely related field
  • Experience with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) technology
  • Knowledge of plant operational support
  • Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements
  • Experience with BWR core simulator and use of 3-Dimensional neutron kinetics codes
  • Object-oriented programming experience such as Java, C#, C++, Python.
