About the role
- negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies
- achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction
- interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services
- utilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process
- define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels
- lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers
- negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement
- manage claims
- manage a Commodity Spend of over $500M
- lead a team with senior professional direct reports and manage medium to large teams
Requirements
- significant experience in the Sourcing & Commodity Management
- Knowledge level comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
- for roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s))
- strong oral and written communication skills
- strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
- ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- established project management skills
