About the role
- Responsible for the engineering services and field support of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety protocols within the wind fleet
- Partner with design engineering on development and implementation of comprehensive LOTO procedures for wind turbine operations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Provide technical support for services technicians during maintenance and repair operations of wind turbine systems
- Collaborate with teams to assess and improve system reliability and safety
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards
- Recommend engineering controls and safety measures to mitigate identified risks
- Serve as a subject matter expert on safety protocols
- Ensure accurate documentation of latest LOTO procedures
- Stay updated on industry trends and promote a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering within the energy sector, with a focus on safety protocols
- Experience in developing LOTO procedures and safety management systems is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA) preferred
