About the role
- Responsible for Mechanical Nuclear Island Systems (MNI) engineering activities that support the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) design
- Overall ownership of mechanical design for the Nuclear Boiler (B21), Isolation Condenser (E52) and Fine Motion Control Rod Drive (G12) Systems
- Construction support of the DNNP-1 SMR currently under construction by OPG
- Procurement support of the DNNP-1 project for assigned systems
- Conduct component and product integration
- Manage product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down
- Drive validation and verification activities for the overall product/system
- Responsible for defining product requirements for the module/component/subcontractors and partners teams
- Manage interface between components and execution organizations
- Responsible for driving CTQ/Risk trades within teams designing the components
- Manage the overall product configuration and configuration control system
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in the Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering within the nuclear industry for the role in Canada
- Master's degree or comparable knowledge level from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
- Professional Engineering Designation in Ontario (P.eng) for roles in Canada
- Master's degree or high school diploma/GED with at least 8 years of BWR nuclear experience for roles in USA
- Strong preference for candidate who could relocate to Wilmington, NC
