About the role
- Develop comprehensive supplier contractual and strategic relationships to address cost, business risk, and supply continuity
- Develop negotiation strategies and lead complex negotiations for master service agreements, statements of work (SOWs), and contracts to achieve stated goals and objectives
- Drive supplier selection, development, and overall supplier performance management in partnership with business team members and in accordance with the business strategy
- Drive sourcing initiatives through the development of annual commodity operating plans
- Consult with partners up to senior management on outsourcing strategies and risk avoidance
- Develop and implement global and local commodity strategies for engineering services to meet cost, quality, delivery, and innovation goals
- Cultivate strategic relationships with key suppliers and conduct regular business reviews to monitor and improve performance, quality, delivery, and compliance
- Help ensure sound fulfillment processes and clean hand-offs are established and maintained to fulfill aftermarket needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with minimum 3 -5 years of experience in sourcing, finance, commercial, engineering or equivalent discipline OR A high school diploma or equivalent with at least 10 years of experience in sourcing, finance, commercial, engineering or equivalent discipline
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and managing complex supplier relationships
- Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time as required
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information
