About the role
- Provide technical guidance to field engineers and service managers during outage planning and execution
- Lead service center complex repairs on rotors, diaphragms, casings, valves, etc.
- Be the single point of contact and technical interface for complex repairs projects
- Responsible for meeting project on-time engineering deliverables and technical requirements
- Provide inspection and test plans for site assembly/disassembly and service center repair scope
- Lead and participate in the product qualification process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in steam turbine service engineering
- Minimum of 2+ years of field execution experience within the power generation industry
- Good understanding of steam turbine and balance of plant systems and operations
- Steam turbine rotating and stationary components inspection methods and repairs
- Steam turbine disassembly, assembly, startups and operational exposure
