About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the financial, commercial, and competitive strategy for GE Vernova’s most strategic, complex, and transformative opportunities within the Grid Software business
- Shape, negotiate, and close new business opportunities
- Bring together competitive intelligence, client business and solution requirements, internal costs-to-serve estimates, commercial model structures, pricing methodologies, and negotiation strategies
- Guide teams in developing competitive and compelling business cases for clients and GE Vernova
- Design and execute competitive pricing strategies
- Maximize margins, mitigate risks, and articulate the differentiated value of GE Vernova’s offer
- Improve deal quality, accelerate complex transactions, and scale best practices across the business
- Develop, test, and refine offer design, pricing approach, and commercial strategy
- Assess proposed price points against market benchmarks, client value drivers, and likely competitor positioning
- Use competitive intelligence and market insights to challenge solution design and strengthen differentiation
- Design commercial structures aligned to client value drivers and GE Vernova’s risk profile
- Drive opportunities through the governance framework by translating complex commercial, financial, and risk considerations into decision-making narratives for executive stakeholders
- Contribute to client-facing financial and commercial materials
- Support negotiation preparation
- Partner with account teams early in the deal cycle to shape strategy, messaging, and commercial approach
- Guide opportunities from initial discovery through close
- Coach sellers on value-based positioning, ROI articulation, executive engagement, negotiation strategies, and trade-offs
- Advise the Commercial Operations Director, the Americas General Manager, and the broader pursuit team
- Pull stakeholders together to drive strategic initiatives, increase win odds, and position profitable growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12+ years of experience in professional services or commercial and contract management
- Expert proficiency in financial modelling, accounting, budgeting, and associated metrics
- Proven track record designing, modelling, and structuring deals using various pricing strategies and commercial structures across consulting and managed services
- Strong pursuit management, relationship management, executive presence, and influencing skills
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving, and complex pursuit environments
- Effective written and verbal communications
- Ability to use generative AI tools as thought partners to accelerate research, analysis, financial and commercial reasoning, and decision support
- A University Bachelor’s Degree
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
