About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a global direct material commodity team and serve as operations leader for the Blades CoE
- Lead commodity leaders and standardize work across the blades team
- Define and execute part of the multiyear global blade direct material strategy for internal blade factories
- Lead negotiations with external blade suppliers and own Terms and Conditions in supply agreements
- Implement standard work aligned with the broader GEV WIND sourcing team
- Manage Cost Handbook rollups, PPV and YOY metrics, pipeline project alignment, and the team Bowler
- Align with internal blade factory leadership to support make-versus-buy decisions
- Drive supplier and cross-functional cost-out projects to achieve annual budgets and year-over-year savings
- Engage cross-functional teams in Kaizens and focused workouts prioritizing safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Partner with suppliers, factories, engineering, and materials teams to drive cost reduction, output, and supply flexibility
- Manage cost-out programs involving engineering changes, material changes, and additional supply sources
- Maintain a supply base meeting quality and fulfillment requirements
- Lead balanced scorecard and supplier improvement processes
- Lead functional teams or projects and present business solutions to functional leaders
- Negotiate with internal stakeholders and external partners, vendors, or customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, college or equivalent knowledge or experience
- Significant experience in Supply Chain, Commodity Management, or Product Management
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required, estimated at 20%
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Ability to work cross functionally to drive results
- Sourcing and contract experience
- Quality or production experience
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
