About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute integrated communications strategies for the Power Transmission (PT) business, covering more than 17 manufacturing and research sites and over 8,000 employees worldwide.
  • Lead internal and external communications, stakeholder engagement, change management, and executive communications.
  • Advise business leaders on messaging, positioning, audience engagement, and communications strategy.
  • Collaborate with site and functional leaders to translate complex priorities into clear messages.
  • Prepare messages and materials for public speaking engagements, internal forums, and stakeholder interactions.
  • Develop and oversee content, including briefing notes, speeches, talking points, case studies, articles, social media, videos, podcasts, and infographics.
  • Develop and execute internal communications plans with HR to inform and engage employees.
  • Support communications related to engagement, culture, recognition, inclusion, and community initiatives.
  • Develop communications that foster connectivity, transparency, and a shared sense of purpose.
  • Develop and execute external communications strategies aligned with PT’s business objectives and growth priorities.
  • Increase global visibility across social media and amplify PT marketing campaigns.
  • Build partnerships with manufacturing and R&D units, functional teams, and regional and global stakeholders.
  • Develop and track qualitative and quantitative metrics to measure communications effectiveness.
  • Explore new channels, formats, and creative approaches to improve engagement and effectiveness.
  • Reports hierarchically to the PT Business Leader and functionally to the Electrification Communications Leader.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of relevant communications experience, including internal and external communications.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in a multicultural environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing communications across multiple manufacturing sites or at a regional level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional local or regional language is a plus.
  • Experience in or understanding of the energy or industrial sector is preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking and excellent communications judgment.
  • Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders with confidence and credibility.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player who can work across cultures, functions, and geographies.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities, channels, and ideas.
