About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist Senior Engineers to develop and implement new designs and design improvements
- Execute and document subsystem and component/software validation test plans
- Evaluate power circuit protection and coordination
- Participate in FMEA, risk assessment, and root cause analysis activities
- Provide technical clarification of designs with suppliers, manufacturing, and services teams
- Test and qualify components/firmware for production and resolve issues as needed to maintain product quality
- Grow skills as a member of the multidisciplinary Product Development team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Knowledge of electrical distribution, power electronics, or control system design
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Related electrical engineering experience through Co-Op or university classwork
- Familiarity with power electronics and control systems
- Familiarity with wind turbine or photovoltaic system technologies
- Familiarity with instrumentation and measurement of power converters
- Familiarity with Arc Flash analysis (EasyPower or SKM) and testing
