About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report to the Director, Generation and Electrification Forecasting within Corporate Strategy & Market Analytics
  • Collect, maintain, and analyze country and regional energy market data across core and priority growth markets
  • Monitor market dynamics, demand drivers, generation trends, infrastructure needs, investment activity, policy developments, regulatory trends, and competitive dynamics
  • Support country prioritization frameworks, market attractiveness assessments, and regional opportunity views
  • Identify emerging opportunities and challenges across priority regions and translate findings into concise business recommendations
  • Maintain market assumptions and input data supporting regional and country-level forecasts
  • Support calibration and validation of regional and country outlooks
  • Develop quarterly regional market updates and executive-ready insights for senior leadership discussions
  • Apply AI-enabled research and analytics tools to improve data collection, market monitoring, and insight generation
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional teams, country councils, strategy partners, commercial teams, and business stakeholders
  • Deliver clear, data-driven recommendations supporting enterprise decision-making and long-term strategic planning
  • Travel approximately 15–20% on average

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, energy systems, engineering, business, data analytics, finance, or a related field, from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in energy markets, power markets, market analysis, energy policy, strategy, forecasting, or a related analytical discipline
  • Strong understanding of energy and power market fundamentals, market structures, policy drivers, and regional market dynamics
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, including experience working with large datasets, market research sources, and complex business information
  • Ability to translate complex market information into clear, actionable business insights for executive and cross-functional audiences
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Expected travel of approximately 15–20% on average
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, market intelligence, power market analysis, or forecasting roles
  • Experience with power market modeling, capacity expansion modeling, or related energy analytics tools
  • Experience using Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar tools for data analysis and visualization
  • Experience applying AI-powered tools to accelerate research, analysis, and insight generation
  • Advanced degree, including MBA, master’s degree, or PhD, in a relevant field (desired)
