About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and potentially high impact to the Product Service business
  • Own technical resolution of multiple complex steam turbine issues
  • Mentor and train others in areas of expertise and experience
  • Facilitate collaboration among engineering, design, commercial, manufacturing, supplier and other teams
  • Develop and implement technical solutions meeting customer needs
  • Coordinate and present at technical conferences and customer-facing events
  • Lead cross-functional Root Cause Analysis of GE equipment non-conformances
  • Lead initiatives to improve starting reliability, availability and trip reduction
  • Provide technical support for new unit installation, startup and outage work scopes
  • Support Engineering Request workstream for critical issues
  • Author and coach others in creating internal and external communications, including TILS, ETC and customer presentations
  • Communicate fleet and product issues into the NPI process and GE Vernova leadership
  • Identify new opportunities and drive development of effective offerings
  • Participate in global product service meetings to grow individual and global team expertise

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in Steam Turbine Design, Steam Turbine Maintenance or similar
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • Demonstrated expertise in steam turbine design, installation and/or maintenance
  • Master of Science in Engineering or related field
  • Initiative and interpersonal skills to direct cross-functional projects and work
  • Ability to work well with teams and communicate requests and requirements clearly
  • Strong team building skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated leadership to pursue correct engineering actions in adverse conditions or situations
  • Understanding of business objectives and ability to drive tasks required to meet objectives
