Key responsibilities & impact
  • Apply analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to solve complex problems
  • Execute analysis and design calculations supporting operating reactor cores in reload licensing and cycle management
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Document and communicate technical data results
  • Maintain or exceed baseline project schedules and costs for nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables
  • Share information and promote open dialogue in a matrixed team environment
  • Ensure high-quality work complies with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards
  • Partner with Commercial Account Managers, interface with customer technical personnel, and manage reload projects across the Fuels organization
  • Engage in continuous professional development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in engineering, physics, or another science field from an accredited university
  • Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering desired
  • Experience with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) technology desired
  • Experience with BWR core simulator and use of 3-Dimensional neutron kinetics codes desired
  • Programming experience with Python or C# desired
  • Detail oriented and accountable for results
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
