About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of project schedules for assigned Power Services complex upgrade projects during both the ITO and OTR phases
- Develop integrated project schedules reflecting scope, execution strategy, work packages, milestones, constraints, and interfaces
- Monitor project progress and maintain schedule updates, forecasts, and projections
- Partner with Project Managers, engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, field services, and other functions on project plans and schedule assumptions
- Facilitate cross-functional agreement on project execution plans and establish baseline schedules for awarded projects
- Incorporate customer milestones, external interfaces, and key dependencies into project schedules
- Perform schedule analysis to identify risks and opportunities and support mitigation planning
- Monitor critical path, near-critical path, and total float
- Provide schedule reporting for internal stakeholders and customer-facing reporting through the Project Manager
- Support Commercial teams with tender schedules by validating scope, lead times, execution assumptions, and factory/field inputs
- Drive scheduling best practices and continuous improvement across the planning and scheduling function
- Support multiple complex projects within a matrix organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Significant experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within the power industry, EPC projects, or power plant outages, upgrade/retrofit projects
- Strong experience supporting projects across the full lifecycle, including commercial/tendering, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and field execution
- Proven expertise in Primavera P6
- Strong knowledge of schedule development, schedule risk analysis, forecasting, critical path management, and progress measurement
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience with complex power plant upgrades, outages and retrofits projects
- Experience working in customer-facing project environments and supporting schedule reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, identify risks, and develop practical solutions
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex schedules with a high level of accuracy
- Self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to project support and execution
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to quickly learn and adopt new business tools and processes
