About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the entire bid process for Grid Automation, from analyzing client requests to submitting proposals
- Analyze customer needs and RFQs to define and offer products, services, and solutions across DS Agile, G500, GPG, AAA, Cyber Security, MiCOM, and Multilin portfolios
- Package bids with Telecom and M&D scopes where applicable
- Ensure offers comply with technical specifications and tender requirements
- Identify and flag key risks and ensure mitigation plans are recorded
- Manage and implement Return of Experience (ROE)
- Align proposals with commercial and execution strategies
- Obtain technical derogations and approvals when applicable
- Complete site assessments for brownfield and existing substations
- Maintain typical circuits, schemes, and solutions in the tendering tool
- Ensure technical and commercial offers meet schedules and quality standards
- Review and respond to technical bid clarifications and present solutions to customers
- Support order booking, budget margins, and the Operations turnover process
- Support Sales in commercial and technical customer meetings and negotiations
- Manage bid phases in compliance with company policies and instructions
- Conduct internal tender reviews with stakeholders according to tender due dates
- Conduct transfer meetings and hand over relevant documents to Operations
- Review tendering hit rate and analyze submission and win rates
- Prepare and analyze costs and pricing
- Obtain formal third-party product/system quotes and update the tendering tool
- Ensure correct costing in the estimation tool
- Optimize product, solution, and delivery costs and analyze risks
- Conduct commercial and technical win/loss analysis of bids
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tendering, commercial, engineering, or relevant functions
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of grid automation, protection, and DCS/SCS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 10–15% of the time, based on business needs
- Telecom and M&D knowledge will be a plus
- Understanding and knowledge of MENAT customer requirements and specifications
- Comfortable in hybrid working conditions
- Understanding of commercial contracting guidelines
- Pro-active approach with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
