About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the entire bid process pertaining to Grid Automation, from analyzing client requests to submitting proposals
- Analyze customer needs and RFQs to define and offer products, services, and solutions based on DS Agile, G500, GPG, AAA, Cyber Security, MiCOM, and Multilin portfolios
- Package proposals with Telecom and M&D scopes where applicable
- Ensure compliant offers against technical specifications and tender requirements
- Identify and flag key risks and ensure mitigation plans in the Risk & Opportunity register
- Manage and implement Return of Experience (ROE)
- Ensure proposals align with commercial and execution strategies
- Obtain technical derogations and approvals where applicable
- Complete site assessments for brownfield/existing substations
- Maintain typical circuits, schemes, and solutions in the Tendering Tool
- Ensure technical and commercial offers meet schedules and quality expectations
- Review and respond to bid technical clarifications and present solutions to customers
- Support order booking according to signed contracts/purchase orders, budget margins, and the Operations turnover process
- Support Sales in commercial and technical customer meetings and negotiations
- Manage complete bid phases in compliance with company policies and instructions
- Conduct internal tender reviews with stakeholders according to tender due dates
- Conduct transfer meetings and hand over relevant documents to Operations
- Review and maintain tendering hit rate, submission percentage, and win rate
- Review and analyze cost and price preparation and calculations
- Obtain formal third-party product/system quotes and update the Tendering Tool
- Ensure correct costing in the Estimation Tool using the latest updates
- Challenge product/solution and delivery costs for cost optimization and risk analysis
- Perform commercial and technical win/loss analysis of bids
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in engineering preferably in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tendering, commercial, engineering or relevant functions
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of grid automation, protection and DCS/SCS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 10-15% of the time, based on business needs
- Telecom and M&D knowledge will be a plus
- Understanding and knowledge of MENAT customer requirements and specifications
- Comfortable in hybrid working conditions
- Understanding of commercial contracting guidelines
- Pro-active approach with excellent interpersonal & communications skills
