About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the team and plan activity execution in coordination with Site and Construction Management, ensuring efficiency, adherence to deadlines, resource availability, and compliance with contractual requirements
  • Monitor subcontractor technical performance by assessing capabilities and deliverables, while ensuring that material and equipment receiving and handling processes preserve asset integrity
  • Exercise technical authority in validating electromechanical assemblies and installations, ensuring strict compliance with designs, engineering standards, and contractual specifications
  • Act as the HSE guardian, ensuring that all assembly and commissioning activities strictly comply with company policies, local regulations, and applicable legislation
  • Apply specialized knowledge of hydromechanical equipment and lifting systems to ensure technical accuracy throughout all installation phases at hydroelectric power plants and small hydropower plants
  • Manage the complete cycle of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and quality records, keeping document control up to date and collaborating with engineering teams to resolve technical issues
  • Provide ongoing technical support to the client and internal team, promoting continuous process improvement through operational feedback and the incorporation of lessons learned into future projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics, or a related field
  • Quality Inspector certification or specialization is a plus
  • Previous experience in quality control for industrial equipment at hydroelectric power plants
  • Intermediate English is a plus
  • Intermediate Spanish
  • Willingness and availability to travel frequently domestically and internationally and work at project sites
