About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the risk profile of all commercial deals within the GE Vernova Hydropower Business
- Ensure tenders are underwritten in accordance with GE Vernova standards and comply with GE Vernova and GE Vernova Hydro risk management processes and policies
- Partner with commercial leaders and functional experts across engineering, sourcing, site installation, legal, finance, and scheduling to analyze and mitigate tender risks
- Validate the risk–reward balance for each tender, including terms and conditions, technical requirements, financing, and schedule
- Manage the Hydropower risk process and ensure compliance with GE Vernova policies and Hydropower underwriting strategies
- Lead the Risk Review gates of the ITO process (R2, HRB, R3)
- Leverage project execution feedback and best practices from other businesses to improve tender-stage risk analysis
- Report to the Hydro Global Commercial and Strategy Leader
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience
- Experience managing complex EPC projects and/or in risk management
- High level of autonomy in organizing risk activities in collaboration with the other risk manager
- Strong critical-thinking skills, with the ability to analyze and summarize complex and diverse problems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively at the executive level
- Proven interpersonal and leadership capabilities in a global, multicultural environment
- A background in engineering, contract management, finance, or project management is a strong advantage
