About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead analysis of global and regional energy market trends, including market shifts, technology adoption, policy changes, and evolving customer needs
  • Develop and maintain enterprise market intelligence and GE Vernova’s House View
  • Support strategic planning, portfolio decisions, and business growth priorities
  • Assess long-term energy demand and supply trends, electrification growth drivers, energy security, and power system resilience needs
  • Partner with forecasting teams to align market assumptions, scenarios, and outlooks across regions and business units
  • Analyze power market dynamics, electricity pricing trends, and the techno-economic competitiveness of generation, grid, and storage technologies
  • Evaluate the impact of policy, regulation, market design, and investment signals on energy infrastructure decisions and technology adoption
  • Assess market opportunities and potential disruption from emerging technologies, business models, and strategic adjacencies
  • Collaborate with Strategy, Ventures, and Advanced Research teams
  • Prepare executive-ready insights, recommendations, and presentations for senior stakeholders
  • Report to the Executive Director of Market Analytics & Business Intelligence within Corporate Strategy & Market Analytics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, finance, economics, business, or a related field, from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in energy markets, power markets, corporate strategy, market analytics, strategic planning, growth strategy, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of energy and power market fundamentals, fuel markets, energy policy, market design, and techno-economic analysis
  • Experience conducting energy market research and translating data-driven analysis into strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems, develop analytical frameworks, synthesize conclusions, and communicate recommendations clearly
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15–20%, as business needs require
  • Experience with power market modeling, capacity expansion modeling, production cost modeling, or related analytical tools
  • Experience using Python or similar tools for data analysis, automation, modeling, or visualization
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
