About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the commercial proposal process from initial opportunity assessment to contract finalization
- Develop competitive, compliant, and profitable customer bids
- Lead development of proposals, cost estimates, pricing strategies, and terms and conditions
- Review and redline customer contracts and negotiate mutually agreeable outcomes
- Serve as the primary interface with the Global Sales Team on Nuclear Installed Base opportunities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Business Leaders, Project Managers, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, Legal, Sourcing, and Account Managers
- Develop and present deal structures to Business Leadership for approval
- Participate in customer negotiations with the deal team as required
- Act as a technical and commercial Risk Manager within the GE commercial risk process
- Maintain the GE Customer Relationship Management System (SalesForce) and Cost Estimating tools (FinSum)
- Support commercial team and business unit metrics related to the Inquiry to Order process
- Facilitate seamless contract transition to the delivery team
- Guide management decision-making and mitigate commercial risk
- Drive successful business outcomes through strategic proposal development, commercial risk governance, and contract negotiation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Project Management, Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within the Nuclear industry
- Experience with nuclear refueling outages or related services
- Experience with customer specification review, proposal development, and/or commercial negotiations
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills with ability to interface at all levels within GEV and customers
- Experience developing and/or reviewing contracting terms
- Familiarity with United States Government contracting is a plus
- Strong overall business knowledge, financial acumen, and analytical skills
- Experience with risk analysis including mitigation strategies
- Ability to motivate a team and drive operational rigor
- Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
