About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Supplier Quality & Development strategies supporting NPI, product transfers, and sustaining quality improvement
- Provide indirect leadership, coaching, and standardization across the SQE team
- Escalate complex supplier quality issues and lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions
- Drive supplier performance improvements using DPPM, SCAR effectiveness, and NPI/Transfer quality readiness metrics
- Partner with Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Product Management
- Embed Heartbeat principles, SQDC, visual management, tiered accountability, and structured problem-solving
- Lead use of enterprise dashboards, SQCS, Smartsheet, and data analytics to monitor supplier performance and identify risks
- Develop defect trend, rolling DPPM, Pareto, CoPQ, and leading-indicator analyses
- Translate data into actionable insights for operational teams and business leadership
- Ensure QMS, regulatory, supplier audit, audit-readiness, qualification, monitoring, and corrective-action requirements
- Lead process digitization, simplification, standardization, and continuous-improvement initiatives across sites
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain
- Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to drive business decisions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Deep expertise in Supplier Quality & Development, NPI, supplier qualification, audits, and CAPA
- Experience implementing Lean / Heartbeat operating systems and driving operational excellence
- Advanced proficiency in Excel analytics, Power BI, JMP, or equivalent
- Experience in machining, fabrication, plastics/composites, electronics, or computer workstations/servers
- Business and financial acumen connecting supplier performance to business outcomes
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and influence change in a complex global organization
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
