About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer of GE Healthcare
  • Lead Global Electronics and High Tech Procurement team of 40+ people across $1 billion in spend and 500+ suppliers
  • Lead, coach, mentor a global team of 40+ people
  • Formulate 1-3-5-year strategy for all sub-categories
  • Develop strategic supplier relationships
  • Drive product costs down by 5%+ year over year
  • Demonstrating deep understanding of markets for categories managed
  • Lead, facilitate and participate in cross-functional teams for design improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 15+ years of Sourcing experience
  • 7+ leading large global category management teams
  • BS/BA from accredited college or university required; MBA preferred
  • Engineering &/or Business background preferred
  • Deep category and domain knowledge in Electronics, High Tech, EMS, Semi-conductors required
  • Proven leadership ability of Global Categories
  • Proven ability in building world class strategic category management teams
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate at a board level, internal and external c-suite level
  • Ability to manage global, remote and virtual teams.
