Biomedical Technician II
GE HealthCareBiomedical Technician servicing medical equipment at customer sites. Ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through technical support and maintenance activities.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responds to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, perform repair/planned maintenance (PM) on progressively complex customer's biomedical equipment
- Drives customer satisfaction through Service Excellence
- Evaluate complex, customer biomedical equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs
- Perform planned maintenance (PM), safety, and environmental inspections
- Maintain effective customer relations
- Follow and guide others regarding appropriate GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol, and documentation
- Communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues
- Engage in proactive daily communications with customers
- Lead, instruct, and assist technicians on repairs and resolution
- Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery
- Share on-call/pager responsibility
- Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries as scheduled
- Ensure proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment, and ensure calibration
- Maintain approved parts inventory
- Manage vendors' service delivery processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment; OR equivalent military education and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical or mechanical equipment; OR High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment
- Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy-to-understand manner
- Comply with GEHC's standard background check, including a post offer drug test
- Must comply with all customer access policies, including obtaining and/or providing proof of required immunizations, and additional drug tests or background checks
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
