About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, inspire, and support a global team of Neuro MR scientists and clinical experts in developing impactful Neuro MRI applications across field strengths and platforms (1.5T, 3.0T, 7.0T).
Define, communicate, and execute GE HealthCare’s strategic roadmap for Neuro MR applications.
Coordinate and prioritize team activities, fostering an environment that values diverse perspectives, continuous learning, and cross-cultural collaboration.
Build and strengthen a global Neuro MR community—including customers, academic collaborators, post‑processing partners, and scientific societies.
Identify and drive external research partnerships and grant opportunities (e.g., NIH, IHI) aligned with strategic goals.
Support clinical neuro and neuroscience customers and contribute to customer satisfaction initiatives for the GE HealthCare installed base.
Advocate internally for Neuro MR priorities and advise product teams on enhancements to hardware and software platforms for current and future systems.
Stay informed of advances in neuroimaging, neuroscience, psychiatry, neurosurgical planning, and emerging clinical needs to shape GE HealthCare’s strategic direction.
Strengthen long‑term team capabilities through recruitment, development, mentorship, and training.
Collaborate with GE HealthCare marketing teams to develop Neuro MR collateral and educational materials.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ph.D. in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years experience in MR imaging research or a closely related healthcare field.
Minimum of 4 years experience in industrial R&D, product development, or equivalent.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
Established network within the MRI research or clinical community.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with global and cross-functional teams.
