Field Service Engineer
GE HealthCareField Service Engineer maintaining medical equipment in healthcare settings. Supporting installations and troubleshooting while ensuring customer satisfaction with service excellence.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance on medical equipment in a hospital or healthcare system
- Troubleshoot and perform basic service repairs on customer equipment
- Assist experienced field engineers with equipment installations and complex repairs
- Proactively engage with team members to ensure appropriate solutions for customers
- Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication and proper follow-up
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree in related field or equivalent military education and 2 years of experience servicing electronic equipment
- High school diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant experience
- Graduate of the GEHC Apprentice Program
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Experience with web applications and Microsoft suite of products
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
- Ability to be available after hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule including weekends
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction
