About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, test, and verify wireless-connectivity features on handheld ultrasound probes and mobile devices using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
- Implement highly-accelerated stress tests for wireless connectivity between handheld ultrasound probes and a broad range of different mobile devices.
- Write software that is robust, well documented, maintainable, and extensible - both for new developments and when extending or changing existing code.
- Write software that is testable and well covered with unit tests.
- Investigate and address customer feedback related to wireless connectivity.
- Efficiently work in an agile team of highly skilled developers with mutual coaching through design discussions and code review.
- Drive and own the definition of wireless-connectivity features together with product management, usability, and clinical experts.
- Work with a cross-disciplinary team of product owners, usability experts, and clinical experts to understand user value and shape product requirements that can be implemented on time, on cost.
- Relentlessly pursue world-class product quality and user experience.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You hold a degree in computer science or one of the STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with advanced experience.
- You have extensive experience with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies on a variety of platforms, including Android, iOS, Mac, Linux, and Windows.
- You have experience with software development using modern C++ (C++11 and later).
- You work efficiently with existing code bases.
- You are comfortable refactoring also large parts of legacy code where necessary to fulfill a task.
- You understand the value of unit tests as an enabler for safe code changes.
- You treat tests like product code and ensure sufficient test coverage for both new code and changes to existing code.
