About the role
- When selling to assigned customers, acquiring new customers is typically rare and usually requires review or approval
- Includes key accounts within a single business group/P&L
- Leverages deep knowledge of one's own and others' sales territories, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer segments, applying analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policies and strategies
- Possesses best-practice knowledge and understands how one’s area integrates with others
- Understands competitors and the differentiating factors in the market
- Exercises judgment and can propose alternative solutions outside established parameters to resolve more complex day-to-day issues affecting projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers
- Prioritizes information for decision-making
- Utilizes technical experience and analytical thinking
- Uses multiple internal resources and limited external resources beyond the immediate team to support decision-making
- These sales positions are primarily individual contributor roles
Requirements
- Substantial work experience in the field
- Education level equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or a high school diploma with relevant work experience)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams
- Experience leading programs of moderate scope and impact
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective problem identification and resolution skills
- Reliable analytical and organizational abilities
