About the role

  • Managing and directing all sourcing activities as related to assigned suppliers and products
  • Key interface between segment and suppliers to ensure business strategies and needs are represented.
  • Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels.
  • Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
  • Manage claims.
  • Commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
  • This may also include purchasing activities.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.

Requirements

  • 5- 6+ years experience in direct sourcing
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • advanced experience in the Sourcing & Commodity Management
  • Working experience with development and production of Medical Devices
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain or technical field related to Sourcing is desirable.
  • Working experience negotiating pricing and contracts with suppliers.
