About the role
- Lead system-level design and integration activities for DXA products, ensuring alignment with clinical and business needs.
- Translate customer and regulatory requirements into system specifications and design inputs.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical, and quality teams to ensure cohesive system architecture and performance.
- Drive risk management activities, including FMEA and hazard analysis.
- Lead verification and validation planning and execution, including test development and data analysis.
- Support design reviews, technical documentation, and regulatory submissions (e.g., 510(k)).
- Investigate and resolve complex system-level issues, including field complaints and manufacturing challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, product development, or a related technical role
- Strong understanding of system integration, verification, and validation processes
- Experience with medical devices or regulated industries
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Experience with DXA or other imaging modalities (preferred)
- Familiarity with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and IEC 60601 standards (preferred)
- Proficiency in tools such as DOORS, SolidWorks, MATLAB, or similar (preferred)
