About the role

  • Develop global sourcing and procurement strategies across Software and Digital Categories for Science and Technology Organization at GE Healthcare.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal contractual terms while ensuring internal stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and market trends to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement in sourcing practices.
  • Build relationships with critical business stakeholders to ensure current and future business requirement met.
  • Define and execute sourcing or category management strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering and business teams.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to guide sourcing decisions.
  • Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Lead or support supplier transitions, audits, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor and report on category performance metrics and implement improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality systems, and legal requirements.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members.
  • Support global and regional sourcing initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or category management.
  • Proven experience negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier performance.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization.
  • Expertise in working with Managed Service Providers.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience with process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
  • Proficiency in sourcing tools and systems.
