About the role
- Develop global sourcing and procurement strategies across Software and Digital Categories for Science and Technology Organization at GE Healthcare.
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal contractual terms while ensuring internal stakeholder satisfaction.
- Leverage industry knowledge and market trends to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement in sourcing practices.
- Build relationships with critical business stakeholders to ensure current and future business requirement met.
- Define and execute sourcing or category management strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering and business teams.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to guide sourcing decisions.
- Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and sustainability initiatives.
- Lead or support supplier transitions, audits, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor and report on category performance metrics and implement improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality systems, and legal requirements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members.
- Support global and regional sourcing initiatives and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or category management.
- Proven experience negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier performance.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience working in a matrixed, global organization.
- Expertise in working with Managed Service Providers.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience with process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Proficiency in sourcing tools and systems.
