About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects
Deliver hardware for testing on the first-ever open fan engine
Mature composite technology through component rig testing
Perform mechanical design and analysis for the Composite Midfan Case
Execute design reviews and provide manufacturing support
Own the midfan blade-out and bird-ingestion rig mission
Lead or contribute to program and department operating rhythms
Manage key performance metrics and action planning/problem solving
Handle complex tasks in composite manufacturing, technology development, and engineering
Oversee functional teams or projects with significant risk and/or complexity
Integrate closely with test teams and ensure pre-test reviews and tollgates are met
Partner with the Systems focal to ensure conformance to requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in an Engineering or Science discipline
Minimum of three years of experience in a similar engineering role
Knowledge of composite design fundamentals
Ability to assess risk and balance technical requirements with program needs
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable)
May be subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing
