About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform key supply-chain daily operations within an assigned site, including materials management and sourcing
Learn state-of-the-art manufacturing methods
Support manufacturing and repair processes for component hardware and/or overall engine assembly
Maintain quality standards through risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and statistical controls
Support safe work conditions through Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives
Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to improve productivity, on-time delivery, process capability, and operational stability
Support delivery efforts for sourced components by working with shops and suppliers
Build project management, negotiation, and business acumen skills

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program
Accepted major in Computer Engineering, Business Administration with Operations or Supply Chain focus, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant/similar major
Willingness and ability to work in any of the 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations
Reliable transportation, as many sites lack public transportation
Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
No employment visa sponsorship available now or in the future
Ability to prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information
Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop-floor environment around machine tools and equipment
Preference for prior internship, co-op, or military experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or engineering
Demonstrated community and/or university involvement
