About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work on challenging, real-world aerospace systems and defense problems for commercial and military applications
  • Support aerospace systems through their service life
  • Gain exposure to engineering opportunities ranging from design and analysis to hands-on aerospace systems work
  • Contribute to engine controls, navigation and guidance systems, gas turbine engine components, electrical power systems, mechanical systems, vehicle health and data management systems, mission systems, computing systems, and platform systems integration
  • Perform design, analysis, development, and testing
  • Write software requirements
  • Conduct software testing and simulation
  • Develop tools
  • Provide product and program support
  • Build relationships with interns, co-ops, and leaders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale without rounding
  • Currently attending a full-time, matriculated, nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate engineering program
  • Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering degree program accepted
  • Willingness and ability to work in the United States
  • Primary locations are Dayton, OH and Bohemia, NY
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen required as a condition of employment
  • Ability to prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Passion for engineering and commitment to a technology career
  • Strong knowledge of computers and Microsoft products
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language
