About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work on challenging, real-world aerospace systems and defense problems for commercial and military applications
- Support aerospace systems through their service life
- Contribute to development of engine controls, navigation and guidance systems, gas turbine engine components, electrical power systems, mechanical systems, vehicle health and data management systems, mission systems, computing systems, and platform systems integration
- Perform design, analysis, development, and testing
- Write software requirements and conduct software testing
- Develop simulations and engineering tools
- Provide product and program support
- Build professional and technical skills and relationships with interns, co-ops, and leaders
Requirements
What you’ll need- US Citizenship is required
- Willingness and ability to work in the United States
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale without rounding
- Currently attending a full-time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program in engineering
- Accepted degrees include Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering
- Reliable transportation required
- Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
- Strong commitment to a career in technology and passion for engineering
- Strong communication, decision-making, and collaborative teamwork abilities
- Analytical-minded problem solver and critical thinker
- Strong knowledge of computers and Microsoft products
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
- Ability to prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information
