About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate to develop and execute the RPCA part family growth strategy
Develop and execute lean transformation strategy across the RPCA part family
Drive lean transformation across GE internal shops, joint ventures, and associated key suppliers
Build lean capability in the leadership team
Provide guidance and mentorship to part family GMs, plant leaders and staff, and in-plant FLIGHT DECK practitioners
Train and educate employees at all levels in lean principles and tools
Activate Value Stream Management, Problem Solving / Action Planning, Visual Daily Management, Standard Work, 5S, Operating Cadences, Kanban Systems, Production Preparation Process, and Pull Systems
Collaborate with the larger FLIGHT DECK community to promote kaizen mindset, skillset, and toolset across GE Aerospace
Coach the part family GM on FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, including policy deployment execution
Identify and prioritize opportunities to eliminate waste, create flow, improve processes, and reduce cost
Participate in RPCA operating cadences and team problem solving to deliver year-over-year KPI performance
Advise and counsel staff on issues impacting Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
Communicate business goals and programs across multiple organizational levels
Lead one direct report and influence senior leaders internally and externally across GE shops and strategic suppliers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 8 years of experience leading Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, or Supply Chain
Able and willing to travel approximately 75% based on business needs, domestically and internationally
Experience successfully driving change and transformation
Knowledge of and experience applying lean in transactional and shop-floor environments
Ability to coach part family GMs on FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, including policy deployment
Ability to train employees at all levels in lean principles and tools
Leadership ability, strong communication, decisiveness, collaboration, and expectation-setting
Ability to prove status as a U.S. Person for access to U.S. export-controlled information: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee, or refugee
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering is desired
