About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee supplier relationships and ensure part health through order coverage and lead time management
- Collaborate with buying and contract performance management functions to advance procurement processes
- Apply sourcing policy, manage negotiations and commercial deal strategy, and manage daily supplier issues
- Progress supplier selection, proposals and quotes, quote analysis, negotiation, business approvals, supply award, and contract authoring
- Manage internal and external relationships to drive purchase order execution
- Partner with supplier teams and procurement operations to ensure compliance with sourcing and procurement requirements
- Ensure supplier order health and renegotiate contracts according to sourcing policies and guidelines
- Lead analysis of accounts payable discrepancies to drive timely reconciliation
- Lead projects related to part procurement or technical part changes requiring supplier engagement and support
- Develop creative contractual solutions to promote contract performance and total cost of ownership
- Contribute to strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within the area of responsibility
- Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations
- Make decisions and solve moderately complex tasks or problems affecting the function
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active Military personnel on their last 180 days of Military service
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Sourcing & Buying-Procurement experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management and Sourcing
- Ability to travel less than 15%
- Commercial skills in negotiations, supplier management, and commercial strategy
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to lead programs/projects
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Ability to communicate complex messages and build consensus
- Analytical and critical-thinking abilities
- Ability to prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable; employees may also be subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing
